You'll need an API key

i60.Cortex is free, but it connects to AI providers that charge per use. You'll need an API key from at least one provider. Your key is stored securely in your OS keychain and never leaves your machine.

Anthropic Recommended

Direct access to Claude models. Best quality and lowest latency.

  1. 1. Create an account at console.anthropic.com
  2. 2. Go to API Keys and create a new key
  3. 3. Add a payment method (pay-as-you-go, typically $5–20/month for personal use)

Getting Started

  1. 1 Run the installer and launch i60.Cortex
  2. 2 Open Settings (Ctrl+, / Cmd+,) and paste your API key
  3. 3 Start typing. The built-in workspace tools are ready immediately.
  4. 4 To connect your services, add MCP servers in Settings > Servers (or use /connect)
